Instead of using inconvenient and messy impression material, we take clean digital impressions in just a few minutes using a hand-held laser scanner. This laser scanner is extremely precise at capturing tooth detail, and best of all, there is no need to hold unpleasant impression material in your mouth.
Designing and Placing Your Restoration
While you watch, Dr. Glenn or Dr. Irvine will custom-design crowns, onlays or veneers perfectly suited for you using the chairside, computer-based design center. Next, this information is transferred to the in-office milling unit, where your crown, onlay, or veneer is made. Shortly thereafter it’s permanently seated in your mouth, avoiding the hassle of a temporary crown and the necessity of a follow-up visit.
E4D restorations are perfect for chipped, worn or cracked teeth, discolored teeth, teeth with gaps or spaces and teeth that have decay and/or old, worn fillings. They are metal-free, durable, and gentle to natural teeth. What’s more, they allow us to conserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible. The final result is a natural-looking restoration that beautifully fits the surrounding teeth and is virtually undetectable.
